Zotero 2.0

My new favourite application has launched the beta of version 2.0. Zotero is a firefox plugin, which helps you to collect references to scientific literature easily (read an old blog entry by me here). Version 2.0 it makes possible to synchronise your library to the web in order to access it from any computer with internet access. At the same time sharing your library is possible and also to follow other peoples libraries.

Zotero 2.0 is still in beta, so regular backups are recommended!

As I wanted to build a kind of library of the books I have read so far I began to research in the internet for some tools.

At first I took a look at social cataloging websites such as the libraryThing and shelfari. Those web apps allow you to collect all books you have read and want to read and attach reviews and ratings to them. Also you can invite your friends to share your collection with them and to give and receive recommendations.
